Carlos Mejia’s diverse work and cultural backgrounds are very beneficial to the clients of J.P. Martin Homes. Spending many years as an architect and home builder, Mejia’s real estate expertise is vast. A Realtor might love to match their clients with the perfect home, but Mejia can also give educated and intricate details on why that home will stand the test of time and provide a forever home for a family. With an interesting cultural background, his mother is French and his father is Mexican, this combination, which his friends affectionately call “Frenchican”, gave Mejia unique opportunities to really understand a variety of worldly characteristics that can often be found in San Antonio.
Having an international mindset, but a very grounded Texas passion, Mejia is a graduate from Texas A&M where he served in the honorable group, the A&M Corps of Cadets. “I live by the Aggie Code of Honor, which states we will not lie, cheat or steal, and will not tolerate those that do. I am a straight shooter and expect the same of others.”
Besides his past as a registered architect, and continued involvement in his alma mater, Mejia has also been involved with Leadership San Antonio and stays active in his spare time exploring both Texas and the world. However, with all these interests and accomplishments, he credits fatherhood as his best yet. “My son Scott (12) and Madeline (10), are my greatest accomplishments yet,” and Mejia lives to inspire and teach them to follow the same honorable code he has learned to live by.
